Who we are

Yesal Sa Khel is a multilingual reading app offering book summaries, African proverbs and diaspora stories. Contact us any time at yesalsakhel@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Account data — email address, and name/avatar if you sign in with Google.
• Profile & preferences — chosen language, theme, badge, goals and onboarding answers.
• Reading activity — books opened, progress, streaks and quiz results.
• Payment data — subscription status. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store them.
• Technical data — basic device and error information needed to keep the app working.

How we use it

To create and secure your account, remember your language and reading progress across devices, deliver translated content, process subscriptions and answer support requests. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who processes data for us

Our hosting and database provider (accounts, content and progress), Stripe (card payments), and Google Cloud Translation (translating content into your chosen language). Each only receives what is needed for that service.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your account data. Email yesalsakhel@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your profile, progress and preferences.

Retention & children

We keep your data while your account is active, plus the period required for legal and accounting purposes. The app is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
